Percentage of Poor People March 2019 Reached 12.82 Percent

Abstract

In March 2019 the number of poor people (residents with per capita expenditure per month under the Poverty Line) in South Sumatra Province reached 1,073.74 thousand people (12.71 percent). Decreased by 2.66 thousand people compared to the conditions in September 2018 which amounted to 1,076.40 thousand people (12.82 percent).

Percentage of poor people in urban areas in September
2018 by 12.43 percent, down to 12.19 percent in March
2019. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas fell from 13.05 percent in September 2018 to 13.02 percent in March 2019.
