Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT), February 2024 was 111.88 or rose 2.34 percent

Abstract

FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib). FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s FTT was 111.88 or increased by 2.34 percent compared with FTT in January 2024. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in FTT of food crop at 0.88 percent, horticulture at 3.22 percent, plantation at 2.84 percent, and livestock at 0.53 percent. Meanwhile, The FTT for fishery, marine capture fishery and aquaculture decreased at 0.53 percent, 0.70 and 0.20 percent.
The price index of household consumption rose 0.82 percent, from 121.59 in January 2024 to 122.59 in February 2024.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 113.63 in February 2024 or increased by 2.88 percent compared to January 2024.
